About Heizrechnen
Radif Partners
Publisher of calculators for replacing a heating system in Germany: grant by application date and income, running costs by state, CO₂ costs and their split
Heizrechnen is published by Radif Partners, an independent publisher of calculators. It started with reading the German search results on the heating grant in October 2026, three months after the reform of 21 July: well-ranked pages still quoted a 20 percent climate bonus, €30,000 of eligible costs, an efficiency bonus that no longer exists, or 70 percent as the ceiling for everyone. Others were right but wanted a phone number for a quote before showing a result.
What this site aims to do better than the first result
It works out, for one specific household, the grant on the exact day of the application: with the 16 percent climate speed bonus until 31 January 2027 and then 12, 8 and 4 percent, with the cost cap that falls every six months from €28,000, with the income bonus and the right ceiling of 70 or 80 percent. On top come running costs before and after with your own state’s climate, and the CO₂ cost. Every rule carries its source and date. There is no quote form, no sign-up and no call-back.
Written for owners from abroad
The English pages are for people from other countries who own a house or flat in Germany. German terms such as zu versteuerndes Einkommen (taxable income), Lieferungs- und Leistungsvertrag (supply and works contract) or Gradtagzahl (heating degree days) are explained the first time they appear, and points that trip up newcomers, such as the German tax assessments the income bonus needs, get their own answer.
How we check
Sources are the funding guideline in the Federal Gazette, the bank’s information sheet and product page, the Building Modernisation Act in the Federal Law Gazette, the Fuel Emissions Trading Act and the CO₂ Cost Allocation Act on gesetze-im-internet.de, prices from the Federal Statistical Office, the Federal Network Agency and the European Commission, degree days from the German Weather Service and measurements by Fraunhofer ISE. The bank’s worked examples run as automated tests; a figure that differs stops the release. See how we calculate.
What we are not
Not the promotional bank (KfW) and not BAFA, not linked to any authority, not an energy adviser, installer, manufacturer or comparison portal. We give no individual advice and broker nothing. Only the bank’s approval is binding.
Money and your data
The calculators are free. Income, costs and consumption you type in stay in your browser. If the site ever shows ads, never above a calculator and never in a result.
